Leonor Mendes began her musical studies at the age of 6 at the Fundão Academy of Music and Dance, where in 2015 she completed her bachelor's degree in piano with top marks, in Tamara Antontseva's class.
Since October 2018 she has been studying at the "École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot", first with Guigla Katsarava and then with Michael Wladkowski. There she obtained the Diplôme d'Exécution by unanimous jury vote in 2019, the "Diplôme Supérieur d'Enseignement" in 2020, the "Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution" in 2021, and in May 2023 the celebrated "Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste" or "Artist Diploma" with First Class Honours.
Leonor Mendes has won several prizes in national and international competitions. She has played in a number of venues in Portugal, including the Casa da Música and the Belém Cultural Centre, and in Spain, Italy, France, Poland and Germany.
She has recorded Grieg's Lyric Pieces for Radio TSF in Portugal.
