YOGISKI - One day retreat
Presentation
On Friday April 12, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., we propose a one-day yoga retreat.
The theme of the day will be ascent and surpassing oneself.
It's an opportunity to take time for yourself in an exceptional setting, but also to create a unique group synergy.
Departure is at 9 a.m. from the Notre Dame de la Vie parking lot.
Accompanied by a guide, we set off on snowshoes along the trail towards the Loy restaurant, where we'll be staying for the day.
Please bring suitable clothing and mountain boots.
Once you've arrived on site, Laura, our teacher for the occasion, will welcome you with an opening circle to kick-start the experience.
This is followed by an hour of gentle practice to relieve muscle contractures.
Following the practice, we'll share a lunch offered for the occasion.
In the afternoon, we'll offer a mantra chanting session (in chanting form, mantras are deposited intentions, the repetition of which has an incantatory effect on the mind, helping to channel energy and calm the spirit).
To complete the soothing effect, we'll do a final session of yoga nidra (a relaxation method practised in the reclining position which allows you to let go) to finish on the closing circle before heading back home.
Equipment: We provide mats, snowshoes and poles.
Participants are free to bring their own equipment.
Appropriate clothing is required for hiking (good shoes), as well as comfortable clothing for yoga.
Depending on the amount of sunshine, please bring sun protection.
Please note: this is a totally outdoor activity, and may therefore be cancelled depending on the weather.
