Treat yourself to a timeless escape in a preserved alpine valley, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Lac du Lou. Just steps away from the resorts of Les Menuires and Val Thorens, the Refuge du Lac du Lou welcomes you in a warm, friendly, and authentic atmosphere.

🌙 Half-Board Formula – Winter

Perfect for enjoying a peaceful evening at altitude and a magical sunrise over the lake.
The package includes:

Dinner (Savoyard fondue or daily menu)
Overnight stay in a dormitory
Breakfast buffet (with organic and/or local products)

🛏️ The Refuge

A comfortable mountain refuge in the heart of a protected natural environment.
Capacity: 25 beds across 5 dormitories:

1 dormitory for 5 people
2 dormitories for 6 people
1 dormitory for 8 people

Each dormitory is equipped with duvets and pillows.
For everyone’s comfort and hygiene, please bring your own sleeping bag liner and/or sleeping bag, as well as a pillowcase.

🚿 Facilities & Comfort

Shared facilities: shower, washbasin, toilets.
Please remember to bring your bath towel.

🍽️ Dining – Homemade, Organic & Local

At the Refuge du Lac du Lou, everything is lovingly prepared using high-quality products.
Dinner served at 7 p.m.:

Savoyard fondue + charcuterie + dessert
or Daily menu prepared by the wardens

Breakfast buffet from 7.30 to 8.30 am:
Bread, brioche, butter, homemade jams (strawberry, apricot, blueberry), chocolate spread, honey, yogurt, muesli and cereals, fruit, apple juice, cow’s milk and oat milk, tea, coffee…

Picnic available upon reservation the evening before.

❄️ Access to the Refuge

Snowshoes or ski touring from the Plan de l’Eau parking
Off-piste skiing from La Cime Caron, Boismint, or La Pointe de la Masse. Off-piste areas are not secured; they require knowledge and proper equipment. You can be accompanied by a mountain professional.

⚠️ Important:
The trail from Chez Pépé Nicolas crosses two red slopes — it must not be used while the ski area is open.
